The headset is not your attire. It's a piece of equipment. People in an office environment will use gaming peripherals all the time due to the abundance of shortcuts. I don't think they will care if you have a big branded headset. You use what works.
i am wondering if the wear will be worse if i plug and unplug a lot, or if i let headphones in? there are logical reasons for both to be bad, to let them plugged in creates corrosion, and weakens the springs, to get them in and out wears the springs and might deteriorate the plating on the headphone hole
Find headphones with a great fit. Wearing ill-fitting headphones increases the risk of ear infections from the skin abrasion you might have from wearing them. Which is why your headphones should fit comfortably but not too tight. If you experience pain while wearing your headphones, chances are they will need to be adjusted for a better fit. Tinnitus. Loud noise can damage the hair cells in your cochlea causing a roaring or ringing noise in the ear or even head. That’s not saying that it will definitely cause hair loss, but it could potentially do so, if say a loose headset is rubbing back and forth across your scalp repeatedly. Basically put, if a headset is causing you pain, don’t wear it. Handle your headset correctly. Don’t let it slide off your head when removing it.
