It came (from car systems) with everything you need including a mic to install in the interior light unit. I ran the wires behind the glove box and put the box under the passenger seat. mic up the a pillar (trim off) and pushed under headlining. Premium uses RSAP, Remote Sim Access Profile, basically the car becomes the phone by using the information from the SIM card. So the phone is no longer connected. You will get a much better phone signal this way as it uses the car's airiel rather than the phone's.
Technically you can connect 2 phones at once but its one as a music source and the other one for phone calls which isn't exactly what you're after. Also putting it in the phonebox makes no odds to the bluetooth. I suppose you'll have to decide if you're having a work day or not when you're in the car! 1.
Hold down either the up or down toggle button for about 5 seconds and a menu should appear in the screen showing MFD, Audio, Navigation, Phone etc etc. toggle down with the side buttons and select Phone with the button underneath, then select Bluetooth, then select Connect (from memory).
The system does work with a Bluetooth phone for voice and Internet access as you would expect. Any Android satnav app will work (Google Maps being installed as standard). Apple Airplay requires a “smartwheel”, ie controls on the steering wheel - it refuses to start without that. I don’t know about Android Auto.
